MTBC iRx, an e-prescribing app, launches in the Android Market
(Somerset, NJ) – August 17, 2011. MTBC, a Unique Healthcare IT Company, has released
MTBC iRx, the Android version of its e-prescribing application. MTBC iRx simplifies
e-prescribing for medical providers by allowing them to send new prescriptions,
refill medications, and view drug warning information from any Android device.
“Expanding our mobile offering to include Android devices was a natural decision,”
said David Rosenblum, president of MTBC. “Doctors today more technologically savvy
than they were even two years ago. They demand mobile solutions to help them improve
practice workflow and provide on-the-go access to the critical data.”
Aside from allowing physicians to submit prescriptions, the app can also approve
or deny refill requests, access chart summaries, review current and past medications
for each patient, and make outgoing calls to patients and pharmacies from directly
within the app.
MTBC iRx for Android is the product of MTBC’s ongoing commitment to provide innovative,
affordable technology solutions to healthcare providers across the nation. MTBC
iRx is available for download on the Android Market and is available to over 428
Android devices.
