MTBC PARTNERS WITH BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD
FOR REAL-TIME CLAIMS ADJUDICATION
July 10, 2009 – MTBC, the unique revenue cycle and practice management company,
is now performing automated real-time adjudication (RTA) of claims for patients
with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, as part of its national campaign to make its
clients’ performance even more efficient through IT processes.
MTBC already performs RTA with United Healthcare, Humana, and Blue Cross Blue Shield
of Florida. The company works with practices in 42 states and physicians in all
specialties.
RTA is the cutting edge interface that allows instant adjudication of a claim—including
the insurer’s payment, adjustment and patient responsibility. RTA reduces the traditional
timeframe of claims submission to adjudication from 2-6 weeks to just a few seconds.
“This advance benefits our clients by markedly accelerating their collections,”
said David Rosenblum, president of MTBC. “We are at the forefront of introducing
RTA to private practices—and we are actively initiating it with other insurers.”
MTBC is already transforming healthcare through its CCHIT® Certified
EMR 4.0, which is intuitive, customizable and integrates seamlessly with our web-based
billing platform. The company provides and supports the EMR at no charge for clients
of its integrated practice management system, which is billed at only 5% of collections.
MTBC EMR is also available as stand-alone software, a superlative value priced at
$4,950 for unlimited users, and maintenance and support at only $195 per month.
